  • IB Resources: Portfolios and Labs - An IB Student's Physics labs and chemistry labs. Good site for IB labs.
  • The Physics Classroom - Various Physics projects, including overview, directions, variables, tables etc.
  • S-cool.co.uk - Contains good revision materials for GCSE and A-Level students. Ad supported.
  • echalk.co.uk - Subscription based resources designed for teacher. Fun simulations and animations can help student to learn.
  • Guide to writing a lab report - A very simple guide on how to write a lab report for IB students.
  • The Internet Public Library - Portal to selected sites for various sujects. Can be useful to advanced students doing research.
  • Physics Web - Good Physics site for advanced students
  • The IB Physics Compendium 2002 - Good Physics notes for out-of-date HL course. It is a good reference for advanced Physics students
  • IB Notes - Brief and rather incomplete Physics notes for SL and HL, including option topics.
  • The Physics Homepage - Good site for advanced Physics students.
  • The Internet Public Library - Portal to selected sites for various subjects. Can be useful to advanced students doing research on the internet.
  • A research Guide for students - Guides for writing research paper in general. Good for advanced students
  • Wikipedia - Good general reference for advanced students.
  • Bruce Harvey's Alternative Physics Site - Interesting but controversial interpretations of physics ideas. These ideas may confuse students and get them into trouble in the exam, although taking the warning in mind, it can be a good read.

  • IGCSEphysics.com - A site that allows you to buy the IGCSE Physics Simplified Revision book. There are also some free notes to different topics on there.
  • IGCSEPhysicsTutor.com - video tutorials on CIE IGCSE Physics and exam paper walkthroughs. Some paid, but lots of free resources!
  • Great videos for learning physics
  • Physics Exam Practise - Great site for practising physics exam questions. Its not free but the questions are very useful prep for exams and the solutions are fully explained.
  • physics help for a level - free website explaining A level physics in simple terms. Great to understannd concepts. With video tutorials too!
  • Revise AS Physics In A Fortnight - Great ebook revision guide that isn't free but is well worth the money. It's basically a guide to answering exam questions for AS Physics
  • Mr Simon Porter's brilliant revision site - Great website with whole IB and IGCSE Physics courses Powerpointed. Past papers and jokes too!
  • Teaching physics using YouTube videos - A collection of YouTube videos selected by a physics teacher for their educational value.
  • SWOT Revison - A good website covering AS-Level physics (posted by theflyingpig).
  • Hyperphysics - This is a very useful website, I use it all the time (posted by jpowell). Just to note this is aimed at university level physics - in fact first year undergrads are warned some of it will go over them but a lot is still very useful for A-levels and Advanced Placement.
  • Physics Forums - Is pretty useful (posted by ApeXavier).
  • Feynman Lectures - Also maybe not that useful but damn interesting. The master in action... a couple feynman lectures on video (posted by ApeXavier).
  • MathWorld - Very useful site (posted by croissantfever).
  • Antonine - A Teachers Notes specifically for A-level Physics.
  • PhysicsWorld - Very useful site (posted by croissantfever).
  • MIT Video Lecture - Electricity and Magnetism (posted by Bluefairy).
  • MIT Video Lecture - Waves and Vibrations (posted by Bluefairy).
  • S-Cool - good revision website for GCSE and AS /A level for all subjects including physics (posted by Bluefairy).
  • National Physics Laboratory - They have a phone number that you can call during normal working hours and get assistance on physics issues. The NPL helped me out regarding Young's modulus for glass reinforced epoxies. In that case the helpline greatly reduced the stress and strain that I was experiencing (posted by Dr Pruss).
  • Splung.com Physics - is a site for teaching and revising physics. It is aimed at A-level students and pre-university students. The site uses flash to demonstrate key ideas and there is a forum where you can ask a physicist questions.
  • thephysicsidiot - Suitable for SPM Form 4 Physics and O Level Physics
  • PhysicsInfo - Great for physics past papers and notes for GCSE and AS/A Level
  • Institute of physics - Really good for finding resources, and links to some other great sites!
  • khanacadamy.org - This guy is a legend. Awesome for Physics, as well as other subjects. (posted by Awesomesauce).
  • Astrophysics A-Level Exam Practise - Very good exam preparation for the Astrophysics module of the exam
  • ToKToL Physics - Adaptive self-study platform for physics A-levels; you select the topic and study by answering questions that are repeated if you get things wrong; questions get harder as you get better
  • Podcast youtube channel for Physics A-level revision - A new podcast/video type channel that has stuff on the AQA physics syllabus and is adding videos all the time.
  • Advanced Physics tutor website - A new website that aims to cover all A-level physics specs and boards, through podcast, videos, games, past paper questions etc.
  • [1] - A website with a great deal of resources for GCSE, iGCSE, AS and A-Level for all exam boards.
